Hot Water And Lemon Detox
So...it's the day after Christmas and I'm not sure about you, but I'm proud of the strength I had to fight off the temptation of over doing it with all the good food and tasty deserts. But...yeah...there is a but, I've been off my strict diet of fresh fruit, veggies, natural juices and no meat (outside of fish), for the past five months. Call it giving in to the environment around me, traveling, and just saying, oh what the heck for the reason for my cheating on my diet. But...yeah...there is another but, I've been able to maintain my workout routine, which helps to balance the cheating.
Earlier this year I started the healthy habit of starting my mornings with a lemon and hot water detox. It's a great way to not only rid my body of toxins, keep hydrated, improve digestion, and up my vitamin C intake, it also helps in losing weight.
The taste you have to get used to because it's like drinking hot lemonade without the sugar. The look of the dink is not appealing either, for it looks like your're about to down a cup of cloudy water, but in the end, the results are worth it. I can personally say that it works and this morning I had my first cup in weeks!
