I'm sure we have all heard the BIG news over the weekend and if you haven't, it's time to get caught up. Congrats are in order for the new bundle joy, Blue Ivy Carter, the baby girl born Saturday night to power couple Beyonce and Jay Z.
The NY Daily News reports that the coulpe beefed up security, renting an entire wing of Lenox Hill hospital for $1.3 million. While their effort may have been to protect this precious event some are criticizing the enormous effort the proud parents took to conceal the birth. Reports state that doctors were not able to see patients, some patients were asked to leave, and parents were not able to visit their newborns (see story here). Was this an abuse of power and money or did they take the necessary precautions as celebrities? In any case, I do believe we will be hearing more about this as the week goes on.
Now that baby Blue Ivy Carter is here the wait is now on the first photos. I'm sure she's just as pretty as her superstar mom.
